We are proud to announce that we have been selected as a 2023 CSJ Award winner.

The CSJ Awards exist to ensure that the voices of those working to tackle poverty around the country are heard by decision-makers in Westminster.

Our Founder Director Beverley Brooks said, “We’re incredibly proud that The Recruitment Junction is a recipient of one of the CSJ Awards for 2023. We have seen a positive sea change in employer attitudes to hiring people with convictions over the past 15 years, thanks to an increasing number of household names demonstrating that this makes good business sense as well as benefitting society and the individual. Our experience has shown that making these jobs available is, however, only part of the solution. Without consistent, long term support in the community, many people falter before the job starts, or will drop out within the early weeks. What makes a sustainable job is the long-term wraparound support that we offer to our candidates, for as long as it takes.”

“As we continue to deal with the aftermath of higher and longer rates of imprisonment and prison recall, demand for our work is increasing and so we’re delighted that the CSJ has recognised the impact we have on the lives of those we work with.”

“We know our approach works and with the support of the CSJ, even more men and women will move into employment, becoming working role models for their own children and building families that can thrive.”

At the gala awards ceremony in November 2023 in Westminster, our work was showcased in a video alongside fellow award winners Children Heard and Seen. James, who we have placed into work is featured in the video, alongside one of our employers, Greene King.
